How Domino Mosaic Works

Domino Mosaic samples twelve independent fair occupied-or-empty cells on one 3 by 4 board. The raw score counts every distinct complete covering of all occupied cells by horizontal or vertical dominoes. No domino can include an empty cell. Empty and untileable boards score zero. A filled 2 by 2 square, with the other cells empty, has two coverings; a completely occupied 3 by 4 board has eleven.

Two occupied cells sharing an edge have one covering. One isolated occupied cell has no covering. These examples describe complete coverings of the occupied set, not matches along a reel or a reward for each row.

Each weighting is separately normalised over all 4,096 equally likely occupancy boards to 96% expected gross virtual return per stake. A raw tiling count or transformed weight is not the final payout multiplier. The multiplier is 0.96 times that weight divided by its expected weight. Credited gross return and net wallet change are different quantities because the stake has already been deducted.

All three transformations preserve whether a board has a positive score, so they do not change positive-result frequency. Their reward amounts differ. The expected return does not guarantee a particular session balance, commercial fairness or a 96% chance of winning. Prior boards and the timing of the button do not predict the next independently sampled board.

A new browser wallet starts with 1,000 free virtual coins. Balance and fractional-credit carry persist in localStorage, so refresh does not act as a refill. When balance is below the minimum stake and the game is idle, the free refill sets balance to 1,000 and preserves fractional carry. Refill cannot change an active settlement.

Controls lock during settlement. The current round uses its captured configuration. Automatic play is limited to ten rounds; Stop prevents future rounds while an already active round finishes. This limit applies to an automatic sequence, not a lifetime allowance. Coins have no cash value and cannot be bought, transferred or withdrawn.
